- The Chevy Traverse has been around since the 2009 model year and has since used the same, unibody platform that underpins the GMC Acadia and the Buick Enclave.For the most part, the Traverse has soldiered on with just minor changes over the past seven years, with the most intensive update coming in 2013 by means of a cosmetic facelift.Other little chan ges occurred that brought a few new features here and there, but for 2018 Chevy will bring the second-gen model, and its set to debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
